Veggie Krunch

Is This Real Food?

Sure!

Although “Krunch” might be an overstatement.

But the flavors are true to the label: cabbage-y and arugula-ish for sure. A little lemon, garlic and olive oil and it’s sorta like salad only not.

  • NO MSG
  • artificial ingredients
  • Gluten-Free
  • NO GMOs
  • NO hydrogenated oils

At $5.50 per 2 oz (snack) bag, it’s a little pricey but hey, a food dehydrator will set you back too and seriously, if you were the dehydrating type, you wouldn’t be looking at this review.

Check out the whole fleet of other flavors available, mostly of the Kale persuasion!

Brad's Raw Chips

Is This Real Food?

And How!

Chips Happen. But these chips are no tragedy. NOT BAKED or FRIED, they’re DEHYDRATED! Which means that these chips are nutrient-dense, flavor-packed, and super crunchy.

  • ORGANIC
  • NO GMOs
  • GLUTEN FREE
  • NO artificial ingredients
  • NO MSG
  • NO hydrogenated oils

Be forewarned: they’re not cheap.

You’ll pay over $7 for what looks like a measly little bag of chips. But there is a lot of condensed real food in there and you can’t eat them all at once. Trust me. I tried. They taste that good.

Check out Brad and his story – the guy looks like a Grandpa Ken doll–wowser–this raw food thing is sure working for him.

WAY BETTER CHIPS

WAY BETTER CHIPS

Is This Real Food?

Yes, but…

Despite the reassuring labels, these virtuous-looking snacks present some perplexing problems.

The good news:

  • NO GMOs
  • NO added sugar
  • NO MSG
  • NO artificial trans fats

The rest of the story:
Sprouted grains offer more bio-available nutrients, and high-oleic oils are better than artificial trans fats, but grains and seed oils are not optimal foods. They are inflammatory and addictive–especially when they taste this good!

VERDICT: Slightly better.

These chips are actually made with real food and may be a great alternative to standard tortilla chips when you need to scratch the snack itch.

YAWP! Bars

YAWP! BARS

Is This Real Food?

You Betcha!

Shelves are loaded with bars and most bars are loaded with crap: sugars, preservatives, and mystery laboratory ingredients.  But these are different. They’re only REAL FOOD.

  • CALORIES: 200 or fewer
  • NO ADDER SUGAR
  • ORGANIC
  • NO GMOs
  • NO ASPARTAME, MSG OR HFCS

A crunchy breakfast or snack. With a cup of tea after dinner you can call it dessert!
